Join us in the warm and welcoming village of Moshi in Tanzania for a 4-week program that impacts the quality and provision of adult education and training programs in rural communities. You will work alongside education professionals on our existing adult education projects and get involved in researching and mapping out education and vocational training programs for adults in the Kilimanjaro region. Using a wide range of methods and working with community focus groups, gain practical experience in research and education while developing a deeper understanding of education in a developing country.
Tanzania is the largest country in East Africa and the ideal place to study abroad if you love culture and history. Home to the tallest mountain in Africa – Mount Kilimanjaro – and one of the oldest African tribes – the Maasai – you don’t need to look far to find incredible sights and authentic cultural encounters. Off its coast is the stunning tropical island of Zanzibar, famous for its beautiful beaches, rich culture, and interesting history (it was a key trading post that connected Arabia, India, and Africa). While Tanzania is a vast country to explore, visiting the Kilimanjaro Region and the island of Zanzibar will make for a well-rounded, meaningful, and diverse experience. Add the extraordinary wildlife – on land and in the ocean – and it’s an unbeatable combination.
Length of stay and cost of additional activities have an impact on the cost of the program. Please use the Apply Now form to get in contact with one of our Study Abroad experts.
