Tourism is absolutely Essential for a countries’ economy. For many countries globally, it is the main source of income. Not only does tourism support the economy, but it also provides valuable opportunities for employment within the local surrounding area, and is vital in promoting the destination as desirable place to visit, in order to generate further income.
The money tourism generates within African countries the main source of income
(World Travel & Tourism Council, 2017):
- Zimbabwe: In 2016, tourism alone generated $890 million
- Kenya: In 2017, tourism alone generated $800 million
Interns will live and work at a luxury safari lodge and will be fully involved in promoting destinations and raising awareness. They will gain valuable experience in the daily runnings of a luxury safari lodge and reserve management, in the heart of the African Bush. Interns will receive hands-on training and gain fundamental applicable skills.
Along side this valuable work experience, Interns will have the opportunity to enjoy many activities on offer. From walking as part of the pride with our incredible lions at Antelope Park, to riding through the water on horseback in the African sunshine.
