In Zambia, celebrations occurred on the national and provincial level. All thirteen districts of the Southern Province were present and they displayed information on their attempts to increase literacy rates in their area. It was Livingstone who was awarded the recognition for their work to eradicate illiteracy – with African Impact highlighted for their contribution with educating the community with their Adult Literacy Classes.
Jurre Maaskant joined our team in the Greater Kruger Area on our Predator Research Internship. Being fresh out of highschool, Jurre was apprehensive about interning abroad, but found his feet soon enough and has made a big impact on Cheetah reintroduction studies.

Kat Duffy, African Impact alumnus, has become a very familiar face to us in Cape Town. After returning home, Kat set her sights on fundraising. Her ambitious target was met when she sent 90 children and 15 grannies to see Robben Island.
