Outreach Projects for Volunteer Groups
African Impact organises expeditions for overseas schools, sports
teams, student groups and volunteer groups to visit underprivileged
schools in Southern Africa and impact the local community through
various development initiatives.
Through the ‘twinning’ programme, international groups
are linked with underprivileged schools in Southern Africa with
the aim of developing a sustainable relationship. These outreach
projects for volunteer groups are able to cater for once-off
visits, however we encourage maintained communication and annual
or bi-annual visits, which benefit both the local schools and the
visiting school pupils greatly.
Africa Schools Cultural Exchange The Africa schools
cultural exchange project involves school visits where
students from visiting and local schools work together to improve
conditions in the school for greater educational effectiveness.
From building classrooms, hosting sport clinics, assisting teachers,
or sponsoring equipment and stationery, to learning traditional
African music, dance and craft, your school can be part of a unique
cultural exchange. During the evenings, local and international
students relax and socialise together with informal sports matches,
barbeques and games.
This programme facilitates local development and brings African
communities into close contact with diverse student groups, where
both groups enjoy an authentic cultural encounter. This experience
has an indelible effect on visiting students and makes an enduring
and measurable difference to a local community.
Contact us to arrange a unique cultural
encounter and/or holiday abroad for your school, club, society,
sport team or family in Africa. We guarantee that it will be an
inspirational, enjoyable and truly educational holiday, never to
be forgotten.
