Voted as one of the top tourist destinations in the world, Cape Town offers a rich, diverse culture with endless opportunities to explore scenery that is out of this world.
The volunteer house, your home for the few weeks of your volunteer working holiday, is located in the vibrant, bohemian suburb of Observatory, just a 10 minute drive from Cape Town city centre. The secure property is fully furnished and staffed with a friendly cook and housekeeper. You will share a room with two to six other volunteers and bathrooms are communal, with a spacious lounge area for activities and relaxing. Wifi is available for a small fee and there is access to a small lock-up safe for your valuables.
Cape Town has many amazing beaches to visit. You can lie in the sun, swim, sip a cocktail or enjoy a sporty afternoon on the beach. In the summer months, from December to February days are usually hot, but not uncomfortable. The winter months of June to August tend to be rather wet.
If you are keen to explore the beautiful Cape waters you can enjoy a harbour cruise, take a trip out to Robben Island or enjoy a boat ride from Hout Bay to Seal Island.
You will make many new local and international friends when you explore Cape Town’s spectacular attractions. So, submerge yourself in the vibrant Capetonian culture that may just have you coming back for more!
