During your internship in South Africa you will be located in the town of Observatory, 7km from the city centre. Although you will share common areas such as the lounge and shower facilities with fellow interns, you will have a private lockable bedroom to yourself. The program housing is furnished and has a friendly and social atmosphere, guaranteeing that you will make a new bunch of friends in no time.
Observatory has a unique bohemian atmosphere and local culture offering an interesting collection of cafes, boutique stores, book shops and art galleries. In the evenings you can enjoy trendy restaurants, lively bars and live music performances. The house is centrally located to the shops, restaurants and public transport.
Cape Town hosts some great sporting events such as the 2 Oceans Marathon, Cape Argus Cycle Tour and Red Bull Big Wave Africa surfing competition. It is also host to a magnificent world cup stadium and plenty of adventurous opportunities for paragliding, abseiling, rock climbing, hiking and kite-surfing.
Not only will you find adventure and new friends on this internship journey, but you will learn about yourself and be inspired in your area of work and life as you allow this to be a launch pad for your future in journalism and communications.
