I loved being on this project, Megan, Timo, Debora and Abdullah are absolutely brilliant. Working with the children here has been amazing and something I could never have experienced without African Impact. I think I have made some friends here who I will stay in contact with for a very long time which is great. I pushed my limits a couple times and did things which made me proud. I will definitely be coming back!

It was my first volunteering experience and I absolutely loved it. I wished I had spent at least a month, instead of just 2 weeks, but despite the short time it was fantastically rewarding and invaluable as an experience. It also makes me believe that the most important thing we can do to help is give our time, experience, as opposed to just throwing money at something without being involved on a personal level. I really want to do it again and thank the African Impact staff for their great dedication and hard work, they have been absolutely wonderful.

I volunteered on this project for 2 weeks and have just got back. The work teaching adults and nursery school children and in the ages in between is so rewarding. The island is beautiful and gives a really nice working environment. You won't meet more friendly people anywhere else, so I would really recommend anyone who is thinking of volunteering in Zanzibar to do it - but for 3 weeks at least, because a fortnight is just too short!!! Thank you African Impact!
