Antelope Park Medical And Community Programme in Antelope Park in the Zimbabwe Midlands
Antelope Park Medical And Community Programme
Spend your days making a difference in hugely under-resourced rural clinics, and your free time at our lion project in the breathtaking African bush! Volunteers on this project base at our world famous Lion Release and Conservation project at Antelope Part and work in surrounding communities.
Most of Zimbabwe's hospitals and clinics have been severely affected by the pas economic situation and suffer from an acute shortage of medical staff and supplies – and they particularly need people to help. As a result, sick people in Zimbabwe not only suffer from their own ailments, but also from the shortages of an underfunded healthcare system. Those few healthcare providers who have remained dedicated to helping communities would be so grateful to have your support. By joining this programme, you have the opportunity to aid healing, bring a better quality to life and have an impact on the lives of so many people that you will interact with. You do not need to be medically qualified, only willing!
Recent Feedback from this Project:
"The best part of the experience was all the wonderful Zimbabweans I met. Everyone was so open about their lives and made me feel very welcome! US medical schools require applicants to have an amount of medical volunteer experience. There could have been a thousand other ways to complete this requirement, however, none of them would have been as enriching as my experience in Zimbabwe. I feel the clinic gave me the opportunity to have a hands-on medical experience. I know this will make me a better Doctor."
