We're not only passionate about our volunteer projects, but also about volunteers having the chance to experience some of the amazing travel experiences that South Africa has to offer.

So, here are some of the options we will gladly arrange for you to enjoy before or after your placement:

1. Private Safaris from budget to luxury - experiencing the African Bush in a very special way in the the care of experienced safari guides and lodge staff. Options to see the Big 5 and much more are available in Kwazulu Natal, Swaziland and in the Kruger National Park, we know will leave you with unforgettable memories.
2.  Relax in the Great Outdoors in many of the beautiful places in Kwazulu Natal from the beach to the mountains. We know a number of places in stunning locations that can make relaxation that much easier by immersing yourself in beautiful natural surroundings.
3. Adventure from hiking in the Drakensberg mountains and driving the twisting Sani Pass mountain route into Lesotho, learning to scuba dive in Mozambique, visiting historical Zulu locations or spending a few days on horseback in the African Bush we can look into arranging some adventures for you.
   

Getting Around
Many of these places require a hire car to get around, or for some we can arrange a transfer. Some places, including Swaziland, Kruger and the Drakensberg are on the Baz Bus route which is another easy option for getting around.

Weekend Excursions During Your Placement
While you are volunteering in St Lucia you can book some fantastic weekend activities.  Many of these are arranged while you are in St Lucia so you can join up with other volunteers to do things at the weekends. Private Safari Lodges are good to book in advance to ensure availability and avoid disappointment of them being fully booked once you arrive in St Lucia.
