Amazing Teaching Volunteering near the Victoria Falls in Zambia
We are very proud of our community projects in Livingstone, which also happens to be just a stone's throw away from the magnificent Victoria Falls in Zambia.

And because of the way that our projects are supervised and structured, NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY to make a difference. We will slot you in to an area that best fits with your personal strengths.

Here is an excerpt from the project manager daily diaries from last week, just to give you an insight into what our Teaching Volunteers have been up to lately:

Our Adult Literacy course was completed again last week.  Volunteers Polly, Jenny and Siu Lin created final exams for the students followed by a graduation ceremony.  Twenty students (13 beginners and 7 intermediate) were given certificates.Volunteers Jenny and Polly, our two highly qualified retired teachers, completed their time teaching at Malota.
Not only have the children learnt how to write stories and start thinking more creatively (and much more), the local teachers have also learned new teaching styles.  Even the desks have been rearranged in the classroom to encourage group work rather than just relying on the rote teaching style.  Jenny’s teacher training course will be held this week with 33 local teachers attending.I accompanied the volunteers on a new weekend trip to Shackletons  fishing lodge about 140 km away from Livingstone.

We visited a mission in the nearby village, Mwandi.  The founders of the mission are interested in speaking with African Impact regarding possible future cooperative opportunities.  The director will send me information on their mission sometime this week.  They have teaching, medical and building projects in the Mwandi area.
