- Work with the disadvantaged and vulnerable children of St Lucia and the Cape, while assisting in rural community projects

- Immerse yourself in local African culture as you visit 3 countries and make friends for life!
Where will I sleep?
Volunteers will stay at various campsites. Please remember to bring along your sleeping bag, pillows and bathing towels.
And Meals?
You will be provided with three meals a day. Breakfast is on a help-yourself basis consisting of cereals / porridge, toast, tea and coffee. Lunch and dinner will be cooked or prepared for you by the cook at your accommodation. Please note that while we do our very best to provide you with varied and interesting meals, food will generally be quite simple but still nutritious. Please let us know before you depart for Africa of any food allergies or specific dietary requirements.
How do I get there and travel around?
Our Destination Manager will assist you with the procedures and one of our representatives will meet you at the airport upon your arrival in South Africa.
What does the cost include?
- Project Fee: this entails financing that goes directly back into the volunteer projects that you are involved with. This fee facilitates funding for items such as medical supplies, building materials, equipment, vehicles, arts and crafts, books etc.
- All transport and road taxes in a fully equipped overland truck
- Full time service of African Impact staff (driver, guide and cook) Full board and lodging in tents on a shared basis which includes 3 meals a day and drinks (purified/boiled water, cordials, tea and coffee)
- 2 half days of volunteering on African Impact’s community projects (St Lucia and Cape Town)
- Assistance in your projects by various African Impact staff and Project Managers
- 7 visits to South African FANPARKS
- A welcome pack, including an African Impact T-shirt, Vuvuzela and more!
- Additional activities (all transport and entry fees included):
All park fees and game drives in Addo Elephant Park (1 day)
All entrance fees for Drakensberg Parks (2 days)
What does the cost exclude?
- Personal travel insurance for the duration of your trip, which must include cover for repatriation and air evacuation
- All transport by air or bus to Johannesburg
- All items of a personal nature, such as curios, gifts, clothing (work and other), gratuities, meals taken in restaurants
- E-mail / Internet and telephone calls
- Soft drinks, wines and spirits
- Sleeping bags, pillows and towels
- FIFA match tickets
- Any excursions over-and-above your planned itinerary in South Africa
