South Africa is synonymous with diversity. While the whole African continent is sprinkled with breath-taking landscapes and magnificent wildlife, South Africa leaves all other African countries far behind in any variety contest. From the vast deserts of the Kalahari, the savannah bush of the Kruger, the floral kingdom of the Western Cape, the golden beaches of Kwa-Zulu Natal, and the mountains of the Drakensburg, South Africa has a seemingly endless amount of tools to impress. South Africa’s animal kingdom is equally diverse. Visitors can swim with penguins, witness lions stalk zebras, or cage-dive with sharks. See endangered rhinos and go whale-watching. On top of this, South Africa’s cities are worth exploring, with Cape Town – and its iconic Table Mountain - being one of the world’s top travel destinations.
To match this diversity, we offer an exciting range of different volunteer projects in South Africa, both on a community and conservation level. You might want to teach in schools, do medical work, improve your wildlife photography skills, or, if you’re feeling adventurous, work hands-on with cheetahs. Volunteer in South Africa, and you’ll be sure to both have the volunteer experience you’re after, and an incredible range of travel opportunities. We’re happy to make this happen for you!
