Meet Twiggy; the newest edition to the African Impact Team! He has taken on the role as our newest 'Branch manager.' We are very excited to have Twiggy join us and hope he will bring some 'solid roots' to the team. Although he has only been with us a few days he is 'blossoming' in his new role and we are positive we will start see the 'fruits of his labour' very soon. Cape Town is full of breath-taking views and a jam packed social calendar! Recently the infamous Table Mountain was announced as the new 7th Wonder of Nature. To see it you will know why! Instead of being wrapped up with the central heating on full blast; you can bask in the sunshine as you enjoy the sounds of Carol Singers. Why not trade the thick woolly jumpers and the snow for a bikini and the feeling of sand between your toes as you sit on one of the many beautiful beaches that Cape Town has to offer?! If you want get back to the original spirit of giving at Christmas then why not volunteer and give your time to one of the amazing projects in Cape Town that African Impact has to offer you?Twiggy has visited the Pre- Schools on our Cape Town City Project and Cape Town Over 30's Coastal Project to join in the festivities as the children get into the Christmas Spirit.The children loved decorating Twiggy! Our Cape Town City Project gives you the opportunity to be in the heart of the buzzing city that is lit up by the impressive Christmas lights at night; you will have social events piled high on your very own doorstep!! For our mature volunteers; visit our Cape Town Over 30's Coastal Project to share your life experience and knowledge in order to adequately assist and support the vulnerable people and children that we work with. You can spend your free time hiking one of the jaw dropping mountains or visit the most Southern Peninsula of Africa; Cape Point. Christmas in Africa is like no other.
