What do you think of when you hear the word ‘Christmas’? Gifts and wrapping paper? Tinsel and trees? Snowflakes and reindeer? Family togetherness and great food? The festive season is a magical time but we’d like to argue that spending it in Africa, giving back to local communities and engaging with kids who have very little, will make it even more so.
Everyone knows the verse “it is better to give than to receive”. While this can be true in many instances, why not balance out the odds and do both at the same time? Volunteering is about putting in the hard work, giving your time and energy; and it’s also about what you get in return. A volunteering expedition in Africa will change your life: it’ll undoubtedly make you more thankful for what you have, give you the chance to learn about yourself, gain a new perspective, immerse yourself in a vibrant new culture, encounter wildlife and discover a new country. The festive season is the ideal time to make a difference and get something back in return.
We invite you to spend your winter break volunteering with us in Africa and experience a festive season like never before! Below you’ll find details of all our programs offered over the holidays.
