"I really feel so sad even typing about how my life has been at African Impact because it’s a sad ending as I have to leave the loving, caring and beautiful people behind as I say bye today. I can’t imagine living without you guys around me. I really feel you are family, and I feel so attached to each and every one of you. Today marks exactly six weeks at African Impact, and that is the period of my attachment with this beautiful organization. The projects are fun and really teach a good lesson about life. It’s through the projects that I have come to understand that in life we must not be relaxed just because we are free of certain challenges, but must make effort in helping those who are less privileged than us. It does not matter how much effort, even the least of efforts counts. I am glad to have been on the adult literacy projects and old people’s home visits where I met people with a variety of needs, but with the presence of African Impact I could see the smiles on their faces. It’s good work you are doing here in Livingstone guys – keep up with the spirit. Here I made friends and family that I will never forget in my life. We did so much together – the movies, projects, the cultural Fridays, the ever fun meetings on Monday afternoon, and many more. Thank you African Impact. This has been a wonderful experience and I have learnt so much from here. We will always be one, and please continue living as one. It made me feel at home every time I saw how united everyone is here. THANK YOU. I have no regrets here - it was great. I already miss this place.” If you'd like to volunteer in Livingstone, we've got a project to suit any individual - from sports development to lion rehabilitation and teaching to medical work in the many communities that surround the town of Livingstone.
