Who Volunteers?
Unless otherwise stipulated on a specific project, African Impact
invites people of all nationalities, who are over the age of 17,
to participate in our volunteer projects in
Africa.
Whether you are a backpacker, gap year
student, on a career break or simply want
to make a difference during part of your travels through Africa,
you are most welcome to assist in one of our Africa volunteer projects.
Backpackers, Gap Year, Students & Career Break and Schools
Some of the other types of travellers that you are likely to encounter
during your gap year will probably fit into the following categories:
- Gap year travellers – looking for an
exciting, life-changing and meaningful travel adventure before
you study further?
- Students / Internships – are you at University
and wish to gain some experience in your field of study, or about
to graduate and would like to travel and be involved in projects
that relate to your area of expertise.
- Career Break / Grown-Up Gappers – do
you feel that you’re stuck in a rut? Our programmes offer
challenging and exciting placements where you can either use your
professional skills, or go out on a limb and be involved in work
that you’ve never encountered before.
- Helping Holidaymakers – we welcome travellers
that are in Africa or planning on travelling to Africa, and are
inspired to make a difference in the lives of our people or wildlife
whilst they’re here.
- Backpackers / Year Out – Sometimes deciding
what you want to do after school career wise can be a daunting
process. Take a year out to discover yourself and your capabilities
- it will help you put things into perspective and at the same
time you will be making a difference.
- Schools – African Impact are able to
arrange programs for visiting schools and groups who want to make
a difference in Southern Africa.
We invite you to join us on our journey to make a difference in
the hearts and lives of Africa’s people, preserve its wildlife,
make lifelong friends and experience the sights and wonders that
make up this intriguing continent.
