Gap Year in Africa
A gap year in Africa does far more that provide
you with something interesting and attractive to put on your CV.
We believe that travelling is one of the best forms of education,
that Africa is the place for unparalleled adventure and excitement,
and unrivalled cultural and social experiences.
On your gap year in Africa you have the chance to make a difference
and also the opportunity to have
fun and meet people. Two of African Impact’s projects
include working with lions in Zimbabwe
and the Livingstone community development
project in Zambia.
Our philosophies are that there is much to be gained from meaningful
time-out, the chance to broaden your horizons, meet like-minded
travellers (and even un-like-minded ones) and, as Mark Twain so
eloquently puts it, to ‘Explore. Dream. Discover’.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed
by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So
throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the
trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover” - Mark
Twain
