African Impact Awards

African Impact is extremely proud to be awarded the WINNERS for the second year running for the South African Imvelo Responsible Tourism Awards in the Best social involvement programme 2011 & 2010.

This is a huge honour for us, and enormous thanks must go to all our past volunteers and project teams who have supported our work here in Africa and have helped make this possible!

The Imvelo Responsible Tourism awards were initiated to coincide with the World Summit on Sustainable Development that was held in South Africa in 2002. They recognise tourism and hospitality businesses that make a real, measurable and sustained contribution to Responsible Tourism.

The Imvelo awards have had a huge impact on tourism in South Africa, creating significant awareness of environmental management issues in the industry.

African Impact is extremely proud to be one of three finalists in the British Youth Travel Awards 2011, for the Green Tourism category.

The British Educational Travel Association is representative of producers and suppliers of youth, student and educational related products and the awards has been designed to reward youth travel organisations working to maximise their positive impact on the environment and local community within which they operate.

We are extremely proud to have been nominated for this prestigious award and will continue to work to maximise our impact on the environment and local communities in which we work!
